Hello all! My name is Allison Hodgson and I am the proud owner and baker behind Auntie Allie’s Bakery. Like most bakers, my love of baking and bread began when I was a “wee one”. My first and fondest memories of baking are with my grandmother in her kitchen in Suffield, CT. I remember her using a gentle hand over hand method to assist me in measuring ingredients. She would firmly crack the eggs on the edge, making sure not to get any eggshells in the batter. She was always patient and had a sense of humor when things didn’t turn out “quite right”. She taught me the basics and encouraged me to grow as a baker. In her words, baking was a good way to get out bad energy. Plus, people always need to eat!
I have come a long way since the days of baking in grandma’s kitchen. I can even crack my own eggs! My cottage creations and homemade treats are sure to exceed all of your expectations. I welcome you to come on in and have a bite.
